Blount Memorial Total Rehabilitation: Occupational Therapy
Helping East Tennesseans regain independence in activities of daily living
Blount Memorial Total Rehabilitation’s occupational therapists help patients regain their independence in activities of daily living, including eating and dressing by themselves.
If needed, the occupational therapist will focus on developing the patient's upper extremity functioning and visual and/or cognitive skills for safe, independent performance of activities. Custom-fit splints for the upper extremity are provided by the occupational therapist, when indicated, to protect joints and position the upper extremity for optimal functioning.
