Lymphedema Treatments
Specialized decongestive therapy program helps cancer patients
Blount Memorial Total Rehabilitation offers – in conjunction with the Blount Memorial Cancer Center – an effective lymphedema therapy program for cancer patients. Lymphedema often is a disabling and painful condition caused by the build up of lymph fluid in the soft tissues of the limbs. It is particularly common in people receiving chemotherapy, radiation and/or surgical treatment for breast or gynecological cancers or lymphoma.
A certified lymphatic therapist provides the highly specialized complex decongestive therapy required to effectively treat and manage lymphedema.
For more information about the lymphedema therapy program, call the Blount Memorial Cancer Center Tennessee at 865-980-5025.
