Located on the Blount Memorial campus, this same-day surgery center was developed as a partnership between our surgical and anesthesia staffs and the hospital. The state-of-the-art facility features four operating rooms fully equipped with the latest equipment, one endoscopic/procedure room and a recovery room, which can accommodate 12 patients. In addition, the center offers personalized recovery areas, family waiting rooms, video and observation areas and a specialized children's area. Outpatients undergoing cataract surgery, tonsillectomies and biopsies, for example, can arrive in the morning, receive the best surgical care available, and be back at home in time to watch the evening news.
