The Blount Memorial Hospital Stroke Program offers education, prevention and lifesaving treatment

Stroke is the third-leading cause of death in the United States and the No. 1 reason for adult disability. Blount Memorial’s state-of-the-art stroke program focuses on stroke prevention and the importance of seeking immediate treatment for stroke-related symptoms.

The comprehensive program helps people recognize the signs of a stroke and reduce their risk. When a stroke occurs, Blount Memorial provides prompt, lifesaving treatment, as well as the specialized therapy needed to recover.
