Licensed, professional counselors at Blount Memorial Counseling
Blount Memorial Counseling has licensed counselors with a wide range of professional experience. Counselors can help with marital and family problems, substance abuse and eating disorders, divorce and bereavement concerns, effective stress management, parenting issues, depression and anxiety.

Barbara Lasater, M.Ed.
Licensed marriage and family therapist Master’s degree, counseling, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Barbara Lasater has 27 years clinical experience working with individuals, couples and families. Her experience includes children and adolescent issues, bereavement and anticipatory grief, trauma recovery, depression and anxiety. She provides professional support to the Foothills Chapter of the Compassionate Friends and the Blount County Survivors of Suicide support group.
Lauren Passarello, Ph.D.
Licensed marriage and family therapist Doctoral degree, Florida State University Lauren Passarello specializes in relationship issues, working with both couples and families, and is certified in Imago Relationship Therapy. Her experience includes mind-body therapies and music-based therapy. She also is a Reiki Master and a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
Mary Misulich
Licensed clinical social worker Bachelor’s degree, psychology, University of Tennessee; master’s degree, social work, University of Tennessee Mary Misulich’s specialties include working with women's issues, depression and anxiety. She provides counseling to individuals, including adolescents and latency age children, and also can work with couples. She has worked as a clinical social worker in a variety of professional settings including corrections and employee assistance, and has extensive experience dealing with both sexual abuse and substance abuse issues. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the East Tennessee Employee Assistance?Association.
Melanie Norton
Licensed clinical social worker Bachelor’s degree, psychology, University of Tennessee; master’s degree, social work, University of Tennessee Melanie Norton has extensive professional experience helping people with issues related to chemical dependency, grief and loss, stress management and depression.
Jibby Redfield
Licensed clinical social worker Master’s degree, social work, University of Tennessee Jibby Redfield specializes in family therapy with adolescents and their parents. His focus areas include adolescent chemical abuse and dependency; anger management; oppositional defiant disorder; conduct disorder; anxiety and depression; trauma; and personality disorders.
Andy Schriver
Licensed clinical social worker Master’s degree, social work, University of Tennessee Andy Schriver specializes in helping parents, children and adolescents with family conflict, communication issues, and severe and persistent mental health disorders. His focus areas include oppositional adolescents, parenting issues and family therapy.
Ron Schumann
Licensed marital and family therapist Master’s degree, marriage and family counseling, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas Ron Schumann has extensive professional experience working with individuals, couples and families. His practice areas include relationship counseling, grief and bereavement issues, depression and spirituality. He is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
