Use this handy list to learn more about the services available to patients at Blount Memorial Hospital. If you can’t find the information you are searching for, ask a hospital employee for help.
Our environmental services staff cleans your room daily. If your room needs special attention, ask your nurse to call or page the environmental services department.
Located near the hospital's main entrance on the ground level, the Auxiliary Gift Shop is open seven days a week. The shop offers a variety of toiletry and gift items, plus snacks, candy, newspapers and magazines. For more information, call 865-977-5539.
Lost and Found
Items are kept for 30 days in our environmental services department. If you've lost an item, speak to your nurse.
Mail and Flowers
Our volunteers will deliver items addressed to you directly to your room. After you are discharged, any mail received at the hospital will be forwarded to your home and any flowers will be returned to the florist.
If anything in your room is not working properly (i.e. television, lights, phone), the maintenance staff will make every effort to repair it for you. If a problem arises, ask your nurse to contact the maintenance department.
Our pharmacists work directly with your physicians and nurses on the selection and administration of appropriate, safe and cost-effective drug therapy for you. If you would like a personal consultation with a Blount Memorial pharmacist, notify your nurse.
For your convenience, Blount Discount Pharmacy is located on the first level of the east wing near the outpatient entrance to the hospital. If you are given a prescription when you are discharged, a pharmacy representative will be happy to help you get it filled before you return home. Hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Hospital security personnel are available to help you at all times. If you need assistance with parking or any emergency needs, ask any employee to call security for you.
Blount Memorial is tobacco-free. This policy bans the use of tobacco products anywhere on Blount Memorial property, including the parking lots and former designated smoking areas.

Your phone number is 865-981-2 plus your room number. To make local calls: Dial 9, wait for the dial tone and then dial the number. To call another patient room from within the hospital: Dial 2 and the three-digit room number. To call any other location within the hospital: Dial the last four digits of the phone number.
